If the attack is an attack-card, it moves onto the combat chain as a chain link. The attack-card is the active-attack and becomes attacking.

Example: Head Jab is an attack action card. After the Head Jab resolves, it moves as an attack-card onto the combat chain as a chain link, and it is considered the active-attack.
