The contract starts when the contract effect is first generated and ends when the effect ceases to exist. A player is considered to have completed a contract if they have performed the actions specified by the contract while the effect exists. If another player performs the actions specified by the contract, they are not considered to have completed the contract because they are not the player that is contracted.
